Soap Box Derby

• The Soap Box Derby is a thrill for both the participants and their parents. On homemade vehicles, the drivers gain speed as they cruise down the steepest hill in Houston. There are six categories for the contestants to compete in.

Model Train Expo

and Swap Meet

• A must see display of model trains attracts young and old alike

Mini Golf

• This family attraction is sponsored by the Houston Lions Club. Not only can families have fun together, but the proceeds go to Lions Club projects. Try them out!!

Kiddie Parade

• Hoedown's opening event features the creativity of the younger generation parading from the east end of town to City Park
