Horse Pull

• Tradition since beginning of Hoedown

• Light Weight - combined weight under 3000  lbs.

• Middle Weight - combined weight over 3000 lbs. and under 3200 lbs.

• Heavy Weight - combined weight over 3200 lbs.

• Competition: Pulling a “boat” (a sled-like piece of equipment with weights added) for a distance of 271/2 feet.

• Rules: defined by the Minnesota Horse and Pony Pulling Association.
