Event Overview (2026)

The Houston Hoedown Craft & Vendor Market will take place July 24th-26th, 2026. The market is open to crafters, vendors, and businesses that would like to showcase and sell products and services during Houston Hoedown weekend. Please review the information below to help ensure a smooth and successful event.

Liability and Insurance Policy 

The City of Houston, Houston Hoedown Days, and the Houston Chamber of Commerce, including their agents, employees, and affiliates, are not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, theft, or claims arising from participation in the market. These conditions apply to vendors, their employees, merchandise, property, and members of the public who attend the event.

 

It is strongly recommended that all vendors obtain business or personal liability insurance to protect themselves and their assets during the event.

Vendor Fees, Space, and Payment Information

Each space measures 15’ x 15’ and is available for a fee of $25 per space. You may purchase multiple spaces as needed to accommodate your setup; however, all equipment, displays, and merchandise must remain within the boundaries of your assigned space.

Please be aware that other scheduled activities may take place throughout the park and could affect vendor space placement. We appreciate your flexibility and ask that you respect staff direction regarding space assignments and event operations. If you have participated as a vendor in the past, we will make every effort to accommodate location requests when possible.

Because the park does not provide adequate shade, it is strongly advised that you bring your own tents for protection and comfort during the event.

All payments must be received by July 1, 2026. No exceptions will be made to this deadline. Please note that your space cannot be guaranteed unless both fees and registration are submitted and received by July 1, 2026.

  • Do not send cash through the mail. Acceptable forms of payment include personal check or money order.

  • Checks should be made out to Houston Hoedown Days.

  • The event will proceed rain or shine. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

 

For best results, ensure that your payment and registration are submitted well before the deadline to secure your preferred space.

Vehicle and Parking Guidelines 

  • Vehicles are not allowed in the park during event hours.

  • Do not park on the parade route on Sunday.

  • Vendor parking is prohibited on streets bordering the park: Jackson, Lincoln, and Maple.

Electricity and Generators 

  •  Electricity is not available. If you plan to use a generator, it must be a campground-quiet model.

Prohibited for Sale 

  • No drug paraphernalia or related items.

  • No explosives of any kind (including smoke bombs, bottle rockets, firecrackers, snaps, etc.).

  • The park manager may ask you to remove any items considered offensive, dangerous, or annoying.

  • Please use common sense when choosing items to sell.

Sales Tax Requirement 

  • All vendors must have a valid Minnesota Sales Tax ID number, unless exempt. Be prepared to present your Tax ID if requested.

Vendor Setup Instructions 

  • Setup is not allowed during park event hours. Friday is designated as the setup day. Vendors who wish to sell on Friday must be ready by 2:00 p.m.

  • Event hours are:

    • Friday: 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

    • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

    • Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • The committee reserves the right to cancel any current or future reservations for vendors whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or otherwise inappropriate.

  • Please keep music at a low volume, direct speakers toward your booth (not neighboring vendors), and avoid behavior that disrupts others. If requested by event staff, reduce the volume or turn off music immediately.
